I got a new computer for my Birthday (was on the 4th) and Christmas present. I'm sooo happy because my old one was crappy crap crap. Seriously, drawing with a 512 of ram is not a fun time and I was starting to have a lot of trouble. But I have my new one now and I'm in the process of moving in. She's so...fast. I'm in love.
I'm going to tell you the specs, not to show off but because when I was trying to figure out what to get I needed a lot of help. I knew I wanted it custom built but didn't know what parts to go for. So here's the breakdown in case some of you are thinking of building a good art computer:
All together with shipping and a $25 assembly fee it was a bit over $1,100. From NCIX who I highly highly recommend, my husband got his computer there too and is very happy. Great service.
Case: Antec Sonata Designer 500 White ATX Tower Case (a nice clean and pretty enough for a girl case. And solid and quiet.)
Motherboard: ASUS P5Q Pro ATX LGA775 P45 DDR2 2PCI-E16 CrossFire 3PCI-E1 2PCI SATA2 Sound GBLAN eSATA Motherboard
Ram: 4 gigs (Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB DDR2 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 5-5-5-18 240PIN Memory Kit)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core
2 hard drives, so that I can use one as my scratch disk in PS:
Samsung Spinpoint F1 Series - 1TB (I didn't even know we had TB's...)
Samsung Spinpoint F1 Series - 640GB
Video Card (wasn't a priority as I'm not a gamer, but they said this one was decent): EVGA E-GEFORCE (9500GT 550MHZ 512MB 1.0GHZ 128BIT DDR2 Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card)
Oh and a little samsung dvd writer...because mine is crap.

The Great Gatsby
Tell me I'm not the only one who saw the butterfly girl and pointed at the screen yelling "Leyendecker!!!" So pretty.
Must get back to work on my Leyendecker/disney princess thingy hanging around the hard drive.
I've been busy with work, peeps. Show you something again soon :)
New Blog
Hey lovlies, I'm writing a new blog called Honey & Huckleberries. It's my non-art blog, so if you want to see my adorable children and all the fun food we make check it out! I'm also doing a Project 365, so I'm taking a photo a day in 2013, also posted on this blog. So photography, cute kids, yummy (mostly paleo) food. Check it: http://honeyandhuckleberries.com
I'll still post art on my other blog. When I do some. I'm in a bit of a funk this month.
What anime should I watch?
Anyone? We just finished Legend of Korra and need something to amuse. When we aren't watching Eureka, which is quite amusing.
